We are incredibly proud to welcome Bollywood to West London Film Studios — marking an exciting new chapter for WLFS, with Guru, starring Bollywood superstar John Abraham alongside Danish Pandor and acclaimed actor Arif Zakaria, and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ribhu Dasgupta, currently filming at our Parkside studios.

West London Film Studios has proudly welcomed productions and filmmakers from across the UK, Europe and Hollywood over the years. But for our Director, Frank Khalid, welcoming Bollywood to WLFS carries a particularly personal significance.

Frank grew up with a close connection to Bollywood cinema. His father, Mohammed Ashiq Khalid, owned a cinema in Crawley, West Sussex, where Frank watched some of Bollywood's most memorable films, including Sholay and Amar Akbar Anthony, among many others. Those early experiences of watching Bollywood on the big screen helped shape a long-standing dream of one day welcoming Bollywood filmmakers and productions to his own film studio.

Today, that dream has become a reality.

Our new West London Film Studios – Parkside, completed last year, represents a major expansion of West London Film Studios, featuring state-of-the-art studio facilities built to the highest standards of the modern film industry.

Spanning 85,000 sq ft, Parkside comprises four purpose-built, fully soundproofed stages, providing the scale, flexibility and technical infrastructure required for ambitious film and television productions. Together with our original Springfield site, WLFS now spans more than 200,000 sq ft across 10 stages, creating one of the UK's largest dedicated studio facilities.

Guru is the first Bollywood production to film at West London Film Studios, making this an especially proud moment for everyone at WLFS.

For Frank, seeing a Bollywood production filming at his own studio is about more than another production coming through our doors. It represents the realisation of a vision that began many years ago, inspired by a childhood surrounded by the magic of Indian cinema.

We are incredibly pleased to welcome the entire Guru team to West London Film Studios, and we hope this is the beginning of many more collaborations with Bollywood and filmmakers from across India and the wider Asian film industry.
