WLFS Beehives: A Small Step Towards a Greener Studio

At West London Film Studios, becoming greener isn’t just a goal — it’s part of how we operate every day. One of our most meaningful green initiatives can be found quietly at work in our green spaces: the WLFS beehives.

Installed in partnership with Flow Hive UK, a company known for its environmentally responsible practices, the beehives support local biodiversity and play an important role in the pollination process, helping surrounding plants and green areas to thrive. It’s a simple but powerful way of giving back to the environment while making our studio grounds more sustainable.

The honey produced at WLFS is not for commercial sale. Instead, it is shared as a symbol of good environmental practice, encouraging awareness of how small actions can create positive change. It reflects our belief that a greener film industry starts with responsibility at every level.

Our Director, Frank Khalid OBE, has been personally involved in supporting this initiative, working alongside the honey-making team to champion sustainability across the studio.

The WLFS honey has even been shared with members of the creative community, including actor Brett Goldstein, as a small token representing our ongoing commitment to greener practices.

Through initiatives like the WLFS beehives, we continue to take practical steps towards creating the greenest, most eco-friendly and environmentally responsible studio, supporting both the film industry and the natural world around us.
