West London Film Studios (WLFS) has demonstrated its capability to host some of the world’s largest and most advanced LED volume stages with the installation of the DNEG London LED screen.

The LED Stage features 1,600 LED panels forming a 20m x 8m curved LED wall, with four wild walls and a retractable LED ceiling, designed for performance, vehicle, and volumetric capture. What makes this installation exceptional is how it was hung from above, rather than built from the floor — a setup possible only in studios with high ceilings and strong gantry systems.

WLFS offers a unique studio height of 12.2m (40ft) from the ground to the gantry, with the gantry itself capable of bearing 3.0 KN/m². This combination of height, space, and gantry strength allows filmmakers to mount massive LED volumes safely and efficiently, providing flexibility that only a handful of studios worldwide can offer.

This installation highlights WLFS’ position as a world-class studio for large-scale virtual production, capable of supporting technically complex and high-profile projects.
